Making GST payments using Net Banking via authorized banks before or/and after logging into GST Portal

For a detailed information on how to generate a challan with/without logging into GST portal navigate here. 

 

To make challan payment using Net Banking, perform the following steps before or/and after logging into GST Portal:


1.    Select the Mode of E-Payment as Net Banking, select the bank name, click on I agree to the terms and conditions checkbox, then click on MAKE PAYMENT button. 

 

 

Note: To view the list of your preferred banks through which earlier payments have been made, select the Mode of E-Payment as Preferred Banks. Select the bank, click on I agree to the terms and conditions checkbox, then click on MAKE PAYMENT.

 

 

2.    You will be redirected to the selected Bank’s portal.

 


 
3.    After making the payment successfully at bank’s portal, you will be re-directed back to the GST Portal where payment success message will be displayed.

 

 

Note:
•    You can also make another payment by clicking the MAKE ANOTHER PAYMENT button.
•    You can view the Electronic Cash ledger by clicking Click here to view your Cash Ledger hyperlink. 
•    To view the payment receipt, click on View Receipt hyperlink.

Making GST payments using BHIM UPI at authorized banks before and after logging into GST Portal

To make challan payment using BHIM UPI, perform the following steps before or/and after logging into GST Portal:

 

1.    Select the Mode of E-Payment as BHIM UPI, select the bank, click on I agree to the terms and conditions checkbox, then click on MAKE PAYMENT button.

 


 
2.    To view Bank transactions charges, click on Click here to check the transaction charges hyperlink. A new tab will be opened displaying a list of banks. 

 


 
3.    Click on Click Here hyperlink of the respective bank. You will be navigated to bank's website where you can view all types of transaction charges.

 

 

4.    You will be redirected to the selected Bank’s portal. Enter any UPI ID, mobile number (optional) and Email Id (optional). Select the terms and conditions checkbox and click on Proceed button.

 

 

5.    Approve the transaction to complete the payment on Bank’s portal. 

 

 

6.    After making the payment successfully, you will be re-directed back to the GST Portal where payment success message will be displayed.
 


Note:
•    You can also make another payment by clicking the MAKE ANOTHER PAYMENT button.
•    You can view the Electronic Cash ledger by clicking Click here to view your Cash Ledger hyperlink
•    To view the payment receipt, click on View Receipt hyperlink. 

 

 

Making GST payments using Credit/Debit Card at authorized banks before and after logging into GST Portal

To make challan payment using Credit/Debit Card, perform the following steps before or/and after logging into GST Portal:


1. Select the Mode of E-Payment as Credit/Debit Card, select the bank, click on I agree to the terms and conditions checkbox, then click on MAKE PAYMENT button  .
 

 

Note:  Click on I agree to the terms and conditions to view conditions  .

 

2. To view Transactions charges, click on Click here to check the transaction charges hyperlink. A new tab will be opened displaying a list of banks. Click on Click Here hyperlink of the respective bank. You will be navigated to bank's website where you can view all types of transaction charges.

 

 

3. The Bank /Payment Gateway Charges are displayed.

 

 

4. You will be redirected to the selected Bank’s portal. Enter the mobile number (optional) and Email Id (optional). Select the terms and conditions checkbox and click on Proceed button.

 

 

5. Enter the card details and complete the transaction on Bank’s portal.

 


 
6. After making the payment successfully, you will be re-directed back to the GST Portal where payment success message will be displayed a success message will be displayed after payment. 

 

 

Note:
•    You can also make another payment by clicking the MAKE ANOTHER PAYMENT button.

Making GST payments using NEFT/RTGS at authorized banks before and after logging into GST Portal

To make challan payment using NEFT/RTGS, perform the following steps before or/and after logging into GST Portal:


1.    To complete the challan payment, take a print out of the challan and visit the selected Bank. Pay at the bank’s counter within the Challan’s validity period. Status of the payment will be updated on the GST Portal after confirmation from Reserve Bank of India (RBI).

 

2.    For making online payment through NEFT/RTGS, login to your bank account. Add a beneficiary as per the details mentioned in the downloaded challan copy under DETAILS OF BENEFICIARY section.  Complete the payment to added beneficiary as per respective bank’s norms.

 

 

 

Making GST payments using Over the Counter at authorized banks before and after logging into GST Portal

To make challan payment using offline mode of payment of Over The Counter, perform the following steps before or/and after logging into GST Portal:


1.    On Create Challan page, after entering challan details in the Details of Deposit section, select the mode of payment as Over The Counter under Payment Modes.
2.    Select the mode of deposit as Cash/ Cheque/ Demand Draft.
3.    Select the Name of Bank where cash or instrument is proposed to be deposited.
4.    Click the GENERATE CHALLAN button.

 

 
 
5.    A success message will be displayed on creation of challan. Click the DOWNLOAD button to download the challan.

 


 
6.    To complete the challan payment, take a print out of the OTC challan and visit the selected Bank. Pay using Cash/ Cheque/ Demand Draft within the Challan’s validity period. Status of the payment will be updated on the GST Portal after confirmation from Bank.
